Hey friend, have you noticed this blog is never about me...? Its all about other people, places and things like.....
shit? ......Ever wondered what the origin of the word "shit!" is?
A long, long time ago, (in a far far galaxy - joke) certain types of manure used to be transported (as everything was back then) by ship. In dry form, manure weights a lot less, but once sea water hit it, the manure becomes heavier and the fermentation process begins again (the by-product being methane gas). As the manure was stored below decks in bundles, methane began to build up, and the first time someone came below deck at night with a lantern..BOOOOM! Several ships were destroyed in this manner, before it was discovered what was happening. After the discovery, bundles of manure where always stamped with the term "S.H.I.T." on them, which translated as: "Ship High In Transit".... In other words, high enough off the lower decks, so that any water which came into the hold would not touch the volatile cargo and start the production of methane gas.
I bet didn't know that one. awwww shit! :)
