(I and some friends imbibed some alcohol last night while listening to a local band. We drank till the wee hours of the morning. Man, it was a blast. This morning, there are two devils pounding on my temples, an octopus is juglling anchors in my stomach, last nights stale smoke is still on my skin, there's a sewer in my mouth, and my eyebags are the size of my hands. I had a great time last night. Won't you have a drink with me next time?)
I feel no pain, dear mother, now
But oh, I am so dry!
O take me to a brewery
And leave me there to die.

Alcohol is like love:
the first kiss is magic,
the second is intimate,
the third is routine.
After that you just take the girl's clothes off.

US novelist. The Long Good-bye, 1954
"It is the unbroken testimony of all history that alcoholic liquors have been used by the strongest, wisest, handsomest, and in every way best races of all times."
