Last saturday, i finally picked up my Brand New Canon s50 digital camera. I am like a kid with a new toy. I was very busy during the weekend so I just unpacked it, charged the battery and the extra battery i bought. I took a few pictures just for kicks but basically i just browsed the manual.

Today, i brought the unit to the office and between bouts of work, i sampled the features of the camera. I installed the software in the two CDROMs that came with the camera from Canon. The programs installed themselves into my IBM T40 notebook without a hitch.

I used the stitch features and was able to stitch together five panoramic pictures i took of the office. I also tested the 3 minute video feature. Finally, I linked the camera into my notebook using the USB cable and port and sucessfully sent the 3 minute video and various test pictures of my office mates.

This coming weekend i promise to try out as many features of the camera as i can. Hopefully, I can also test the Lexmark Photo printer that i have but havent used yet.

My new camera kicks ass if i may say so.
